Perelyn at Nortec 2026
For over 30 years, Nortec has been the meeting point for the production industry in northern Germany. Machine tools, manufacturing systems, precision tools, robotics and automation, software – the entire metalworking value chain comes together here.
Michael Banf was at the 20th edition of Nortec in Hamburg for Perelyn. The purpose: to understand where AI is actually arriving in the manufacturing industry and where it is not.
The conversations at the fair painted a clear picture. Manufacturing companies know that data-driven approaches can improve their processes. But the path from that insight to implementation is often longer than expected. Standardisation is lacking, data sources are fragmented, and integration into existing systems requires more than a pilot project.
For us at Perelyn, trade fairs like Nortec matter because they reveal how the industry thinks. Not in keynotes and trend presentations, but in the conversations at the booth, in the questions that get asked. That closeness to practice is what sets our consulting apart from theory.
